I love this quote, it's from a Korean drama that I'm catching up with lately. “feeling as if I'm going to die, and not knowing what is going to happen next, this is LIFE!!” Korean dramas are good in depicting life stories that are as real and authentic as our own lives, and those good Korean dramas can really inspire you and uplift your spirit.

Many of us work so hard to try to take control of our lives, because we are terrified of the unknowns, we are fearful of what is going to happen next, so much so that we end up suffering when we try to take control and manipulate. When you let go of control, when you breathe life as it comes to you, you will find that life is just as sweet and beautiful, and right for you!

Life is made up of many, many tiny little fears. Most of us fear making decisions, we have fear of the unknown once a decision is made. We ask a lot of 'what if', we fear making wrong decisions that we will regret later. And it is extremely painful not being able to take a stand and make decisions too. How many times have we wished we have more clarity and wisdom in life in order to make what we deem as the 'correct' decisions. Truth is, life is about dancing in the storms. We take responsibility for all decisions we have made. If things ever go wrong, we just make a turn, and it is a different scenery! The mountains will not move. The water moves around the mountains.

I had a psychic dream a few years ago. In it, i found myself flying over mountains, very very beautiful mountains, and as i looked down, i saw many tiny reddish brown houses spread out nicely across the huge range of mountains. I must be flying very high i thought to myself. But, what is this place? Months later, i had to visit Bhutan. I went there for a reason, to look hard into my own mind, and to reflect. As i looked down from my plane, i gasped in surprise. This was a familiar scene from my lucid dreams! These are pictures that I took. More to come!

It was a trip I would never forget my whole life!

Giving your 100%

Life is not about doing things perfectly right, life is not anout winning, life is definitely not about not making the wrong mistakes or decisions, it is about giving your 100%.

I met a cheater at work recently. He claimed he was a foreigner. By using the excuse of placing an order for our services worth several thousands of dollars, he had me believe that he was for real, and that he would come back in the afternoon to pay up in full. He was in need of some monies to pay off some monies that he owed to another company in the morning and promised me that he would be right back in the afternoon with his sister with full exact cash. I believed him, but my intuition told me to lend him half of what he requested. It was not a lot of monies. He never returned. His phone was dead.

I was disappointed with him. I pondered about if I would help again, if that human is really in need, and I realized I would never do it again. But, I would still give, while knowing whatever i give may never come back. In life, in relationships, in work, it is like that. Whatever you give may never come back. The decision made by you is your sole responsibility.

The Shadow

I have a benefactor at work, she is a strong, firm and strict elderly who has been through much of life. I simply loved listening to her stories, many times full of wit, humor and wisdom. She said that as one aged, one needs a shadow, a duplicate of oneself who will take care of the needs of oneself. Actually she is referring to an assistant or helper who takes care of her daily needs, such as reminding her to take medicine on time. Aged elderly needs a lot of care, and must arm oneself with knowledge to take care of own body so that one can continue to live a meaningful and active lifestyle.

I thought about the shadow and told myself that I don't want a shadow when I aged! If you want to have a strong and fit body and a clear mind as you age, you have to make up your mind about it, starting today. It is a decision one has to make today. Start an active CrossFit exercise routine ( check out CrossFit Singapore hub), take note of your daily diet, refrain from consuming harmful food, engage in daily meditation exercise and reflections, sleeping well, study the methods used by the ancient wise masters ( such as practicing tai chi discovered by master Zhang)…there are so many ways and methods if one could devote the time and heart to research it!

I was working non stop every day – yep you read it right – everyday! …for the past two weeks. No, I need to correct myself, my job is not work for me, it is part of my life and soul, something that I enjoy doing. These past two weeks are important days of the year when we remember our loved ones!

Whenever I am here, I am motivated and inspired to live a simple life.

At the temple where I worked, when it is quiet it is very quiet. When it is crowded it is very crowded. In most seasons of the year it is VERY quiet. My friends are usually curious of the environment I worked in, and are concerned whether I would find it too boring and dull. I tell them: nope. It is the most interesting place I find myself in. It is the one place where you will meet people of all types and kinds – no matter whether they are rich or poor, and everyone comes with their own hopes, fears, likes, dislikes, and desires. Here, I have encountered the most ignorant of humans, no so bad, they do exist, and I have also met the kindest of humans, they shine like stars in the sky. These people, they are like my mirror. They make me observe myself further. It is fun to observe them at the side, observing how they think, how they behave.
